Ramey's Elhew Distinctive aka Stella, is a direct daughter of Elhew Distinction by HOF CH Elhew Snakefoot and out of a daughter of Elhew Jefferson, also by HOF CH Elhew Snakefoot.
Distinction's dam's sire was HOF Guard Rail. A six time Champion, Guard Rail was one of the most prepotent sires in the history of the breed. While best known for the multitude of field trial winners that he produced, he sired many more class gun dogs. Bob Wehle recognized Guard Rail's prepotency and bred Elhew Italy x Elhew Huckatuck daughter, Elhew Round About, to him. This breeding produced Elhew Kiwi, considered by many to be Elhew Kennel's all time best producing female.
Stella is a special girl, with an incredible nose and tenacity for birds and a natural range that can work the woods or the fields, we will offer her every opportunity to prosper in any environment for the future.
Stella will be bred to Flashpan. We have seen this cross produce fine dogs when we bred her mother to him last year. Since we have retired Sydney, we felt that Stella was an excellent choice to repeat this cross. She has perfect conformation and a wonderful disposition. The pups will be stunning no doubt.
OUR MISSION
We are committed to breeding top English Pointers with correct conformation, great desire to hunt, tenacity, and willingness. We believe in the Silent Command System employed by the Smith Training Method, masterfully employed by Craig Steinbach at Fly -N- Gun Kennels. Our dogs are exposed to birds and hunting at a very young age, making the training process more seamless and less stressful overall. This ensures a wonderful hunting experience for both dog and owner.
