The world of field trialing has been impacted by his offspring. To date his production record stands at 89 winners with 509 wins, fourteen of those winners are champions including Hall of Fame electee Ch. Covey Rise’s Offlee Amazing. Females from his get are coveted and have proven to be "blue hens". He made his dam, Hall of Fame Ch. Elhew Swami, very proud.

Probably one of the most successful outcrosses in the Elhew line, this son of Snakefoot out of a Guard Rail daughter proved to be quite a nick. His progeny have benefitted greatly from that explosion of genetics. We see Distinction as an important sire in the pedigrees of our dogs.

Explorer can be found throughout the pedigrees of most of our dogs, mostly through the dam lines. By Discovery, who himself is a son of HOF CH Elhew Snakefoot, Explorer passes down his elegant style and presence to all of his progeny.

Alabama Shooting Dog Champion Elhew Fibber McGee was Bob Wehle's 1998 "brag dog". He has proven to be a prepotent sire, and currently ranks second among Elhew sires of field trial winners. Fibber's pups are strong bird dogs who tend to hunt ambitiously.

Elhew Jefferson, a son of Ch. Elhew Snakefoot, out of Elhew Jube, was regarded as having near perfect conformation, and proved his prepotency by siring Hall of Fame, 16x Champion Elhew Swami, and Ch. Elhew Blue Chip, as well as many excellent companion bird dogs. We are fortunate to have a lot of this blood in our kennel and our breeding program.

Known as "Bama", she ended her career with 16 open shooting dog Championships with 13 runner up championships, a total of 40 wins and won National Shooting Dog of the year 3 times. She was as tough of a competitor as you will find in any sport.

15 time Champion and 2 time Dog of the Year, Elhew Sunflower is one of the top "blue hens" of all time in pointer breeding history. Out of THE top blue hen, Elhew Hannah Lou, Sunflower excelled in the field as well as in breeding. Her progeny have also excelled in all aspects of sport.

Likely one of the finest shooting dogs to ever live, Hannabelle is one of if not THE top blue hen. In her career she won 20 championships and 4 RU championships. She is also the mother of Covey Rise Oflee Amazin.

Needing no introduction himself as he has proven himself in the field as well as a sire in modern breeding programs. We like to use females with him in the dam lines. He has proven his prepotency again and again.

Ch. Elhew Snakefoot, the number three ranked Elhew sire of field trial winners, was elected to the Field Trial Hall of Fame in 2005. He produced eleven field trial champions and many classy personal gun dogs. To quote Bob Wehle, "this is the finest dog I've ever raised. I have no doubt that he'll win a major field trial championship."
